Text Box: FAQ’s about Parelli Clinics

Q. What equipment do I need to bring with me?
Your horse’s feed and water buckets. Your horse’s grain and hay. Your 12’ and 22’ line, halter, hackamore, bridle, saddle, saddle pad, bareback pad (if you have one), carrot stick and string, extra stick (if you have one)

What will be covered in the clinics?
Each instructor is different, and they decide the format of the clinic. Look to the description of the clinic to decide if you are prepared, then refer to your levels kit to see what is covered in that area. Also, refer further down this page to the prerequisites section.

Will there be someone to help me park my trailer?
A. Yes, the facility owner will be there to assist, along with the clinic host and volunteers

Will my stall be ready when I get there?
Your stall should be ready when you arrive, but there may be a delay. The clinic host will work with you to get your horse settled as soon as possible, but if a lot of trailers are arriving at once, there may be a wait.

How many riders are in the clinic?
There will be no more than 10 riders in the clinic unless the instructor adds an additional rider. In our fall clinics, there will only be 6 riders.

How do I reserve my rider’s spot?
The only way to reserve your spot is to complete the paperwork and send it in with your payment.

What is the cancellation policy?
Rider spots will only be refunded if the RIDER has a medical condition that prevents him or her from participating in the clinic. Otherwise, the rider must find another rider to fill their spot. The clinic host will try to assist with this, but it ultimately is the rider’s responsibility to find his/her replacement.

Are stallions permitted?
No, sorry, but stallions are not permitted in any Parelli clinic.

Can I bring my dog with me?
Cat, horse, people, and other dog friendly dogs are welcomed at the H & S Farms facility only. Dogs are not permitted at the Poplar Creek facility.

What do auditors need to bring?
A folding chair, and a blanket if the weather might be chilly. You may also want to bring drinks and snacks. There are restaurants in town for lunch, or you may bring your own. Lunches are provided for the fall 2008 clinics on Saturday and Sunday.

Do I need to pre-register to audit?
For the fall, 2008 clinics only 6 registered auditors may attend each clinic, so be sure to pre-register.
